I want my love to come home already~
It’s been too long
"[Man] belongs to time, and by the horror that seizes him, he recognizes his worst enemy. Tomorrow, he was longing for tomorrow, whereas everything in him ought to reject it."
"It’s disgusting. “I have a right to your naked body or images that you’ve sent to your husband, or lover.” It’s disgusting. It’s this violent, abusive violation of womanhood—of divine womanhood. It’s violent, and it’s misogynistic, and it’s revolting, and it’s another example of what this distance has enabled us to do—it’s enabled us to be disassociated from each other. There’s enough awful shit coming from it that hopefully we’ll get to the point of, “OK, wait a second.” What’s scary is that we haven’t reached that point yet, and there hasn’t been a referendum put on it. The Internet is the new Wild West. There’s a guy now taking these pictures and putting them up in an art gallery. What fucking right does he have to do that? It’s absolutely revolting."

No one seems to care if a politician’s dick pic is posted online, or if an angry exgirlfriend/boyfriend decides to get back at their old lover by posting intimate photos without permission to exact personal vengeance. But if it happens to america’s hollywood sweethearts, then everybody has something to say. Yeah, no one should have their privacy invaded or stolen. But it IS a hazard of the digitally shared world we live in. And if you all think you’re feminists by talking about this and want to get up in arms, go ahead.. but I’m sure there are many more terrible and unjust things happening in the world, worthy of much more awareness, and attention. Go ask your media what you should get outraged by next week.
